Auto Insurance – In this fast-moving age, anyone who drives a vehicle is required to secure insurance. Depending upon the amount of coverage required, the deductible, and amount of coverage required is up to the individual. Auto insurance provides property, medical and liability coverage.  This includes paying for the damage to or theft of your car, any medical treatments needed for injuries, lost wages, rehabilitation or funeral expenses, and it also covers your legal responsibility for bodily injury or property damage. Usually, auto insurance includes about six different kinds of coverage, which many states requiring you to purchase at least some but not all. Additionally, if you’re financing your car, the lender may also have their requirements.  Most auto policies cover you for six months to a year.  Our insurance company will notify you by mail when it’s time to renew the policy and pay the premium.

It’s up to you how much financial protection you require. When you take into consideration
that it may cost a lot to replace your car if it is stolen or how much it may cost to fix it, the medical expenses of a passenger riding in your car, and many states requiring you to have at least some coverage, it’s wise to be amply protected. Oftentimes, you may be sued for much more than you’re worth.

When purchasing auto insurance, consider the following points to discuss with our agents, who can find a policy that will meet your specific needs.

  • What discounts are available? (Ask about good driver, multiple policy and student discounts.)
  • How much can you afford to pay if you get in an accident? (For lower premiums, you might opt to have a higher deductible and be aware that you must pay more for repairs.)
  • What is our level of service and ability to pay claims?
  • What’s the procedure for filing and settling a claim, who do you call and what happens after you file a claim.)
